that the manager is exempt from any blame from our performances, then what was the point in appointing a new manager? We may as well have saved the money and left Harsley in charge for the run in? I was under the impression we were hiring a coach with vast experience at the highest level (not an old school manager) someone who can improve the young players month on month and who could implement tactical instruction and motivational confidence.
Can you imagine the reaction on this board if Harsley had been given caretaker role... "lack of ambition" "cheap option" etc. Just think club made wrong choice. Needed experienced manager with championship experience.
I don't for one minute blame Jose for our position in league and squad imbalance BUT he has had 12/13 games now quite a few of them against relegation contenders and with one of the top 10 strikers in league goals per game in McBurnie, I think people saying he is exempt from criticism are wrong
I don't think he is exempt from blame, he is clearly making some interesting calls on selection. We may have one of the best forwards in the division form wise for goals. Something Hecky didn't have, however we still have one of the worse keepers a shambles of a defence and a non exstitant midfield. I think the fact two different coach's/managers have had a crack at it this season and have basically the same points per game record tells a tale.
