Messed up when we signed yiadom only gave him a 2 year deal should of been 3 or 2 with a one year extension.

Thought after first 15 minutes both full backs played well. Yiadom can do better than leeds imo.

I’m not talking about race at all. What I meant was a preconceived idea of Yiadom’s play in general. I just can’t see how you could say he was a weak link based on the game yesterday. It’s very difficult for anyone to acknowledge a good performance from a player you don’t rate.

Thought Swansea were to buy him but deal fell through (back problems?) or have I just made that up?

I never mentioned race. I have praised yiadom a lot on here over the last couple of years. Not too long ago I posted something along the lines of 'yiadom is by far our best left back. Trouble is he's also by far our best right back'.

My evaluation of his performance yesterday was funnily enough based on how I believed he performed yesterday which was not up to his usual standards. I felt his marking was atrocious and every chance or half chance they created was from his side because he left their wide player in acres of space

If he could cross the ball he would be a top top player and a premier league player easily. This for me is his one weakness which top full backs need to have, he also never looks like scoring. As a defender and running forward with the ball he is excellent!

Yes I’m aware of that just pointing out that it’s not a free in the sense that we’re letting him go as in Clubs can also grant a player a free transfer,

That was last summer. Going in to January we all thought he'd be off. Maybe no offers were made, but I'm sure they could've found a buyer if they'd wanted to cash in.

Did we turn down a bid for him in January?

Isn’t the whole point of having new ownership so this doesn’t happen? We pay him what he is worth and then sell him for 3m or 4m ?

He wasn't excellent yesterday. Especially the first half. Misplaced passes, out of position. We will get better than him in the summer. Not a captain at all

good full backs are really rare these days, even looking through premier league there's not many about, I can see Hecky going for some of our players, inexperienced managers who have only been at one club do this all the time buying up their old players as they don't know much else

GG says in Friday's Chronicle that he has made " several" improved offers to Yids in the hope
that he would commit his future to the Club and up to now, he has rejected them all.
Sounds as though he is hell bent on moving on in the close season.

Haha I feel like you’re going to be let down by this ‘better player’ we’re going to be getting in.
