We had the same lazy journalism in former boss after half our team when LJ left and nothing happened. I imagine most who think it could happen will be in their 50s who remember Leeds glory days of the 1970s. Younger fans won't see what the big deal about Leeds is.

Let's say he does want all four. Is Mcburnie going to hand in a transfer request to drop a league? Premiership sides will still be after Yiadom. Mahoney will probably be more likely to rejoin his hometown club. Maybe get Bradshaw at a push, but our club haven't said yet if they will look to get shut and he has another year.

Thought he was excellent yesterday, as did neutral observers which is why he's in the team of the week along with Oli.

I think mcburnie supports Leeds, so I personally think he would drop down to play for them

What I don’t get when it’s assumed we can’t afford to keep him is how much would a comparable replacement be ? £2/3m ? Say £2 then wages etc it’d be cheaper and a better option to push the boat out to keep Yids surely . Dependant on the league we’re playing in . One thing is for sure it’ll be expensive to get like for like replacements for AY and OM . UTR

Mc Burnie does not support Leeds , he was born in West Yorkshire but he’s a Glasgow Rangers fan . I reckon if stevie G get the Rangers gig Olly will go there as first choice !

    Even McBurnie can't help Sevco.

I rate him & still think he’s probably too good for us but I do think he’s had a worse season individually this season than last.

The only time Walton was threatened yesterday came from a low cross after Yiadom had been skinned by the Brentford winger.

He also struggled recently against Sheff Utd & was (understandably) poor for a couple of games when he first came back from injury.

I can certainly see why premiership interest seems to have cooled & he’ll probably end up staying in the championship but he’s still a very good player for us

He’s a reyt laiker. When he does leave after the game on Sunday he can look his self very comfortably in the mirror after the way he reacted after his move broke down.
I do hope it’s the death of that vile and ***** song he inherited after mvotos departure. It makes me want to go to the top of the ponte and start windmilling.

In theory we can afford to keep Yiadom if we decide to throw the wage structure out of the window. I'm not saying we won't do that anyway.
The problem we have at the moment is that the momentum of extra financial backing is unlikely to get him to the Premier league quicker than him moving on either to a current Prem team or a front runner for promotion next season.
Given an option of staying here where the future is still as yet uncertain and playing in front of 13000 a week at best or going somewhere like Leeds, Villa etc and playing in front of 25 to 30,000 and, in the latter case realistic promotion prospects....it's still hard for us to compete.
