We haven’t got BAD players if we are able to beat top 6 contenders Brentford and Sheffield United. We have had a decent squad of players since January - and should be nowhere near the relegation zone by now. Morais has played about with the system and positions the players were used to. He should have known that he didn’t have the time to constantly experiment and tinker about with the team. He should have adopted the system and the positions players are used to playing. If someone like Warnock had walked into the managers job in February we would be near mid table by now. No matter if we stay up or get relegated - Morais has shown he isn’t up to the job and should be sacked.
Why is it horrible to say that the position we find ourselves in is ultimately the responsibility of the owner who implemented the strategy that led to this squad of players?
My opinion like it or not, 3 transfer windows, win ratio, tell me of anybody that's done worse. Do'nt take into account the team he inherited, take into account the team he built, and and wot hes left.
Jesus, again the hyperbole merchants are at it. Heckingbottom - completely ridiculous to say he's the worst manager ever. Cryne - yes we've struggled this season as a result of his desire to live within our means. We are now owned by the fifth richest consortium in english football for precisely the same reason. Is it too much to ask for people to post using a sense of perspective and reasoning?
It seems people still don’t understand our recruitment strategy. Painful reading, I couldn’t even begin to imagine signing up & posting lengthy posts on a forum when I didn’t even understand how we sign players.
Again I'll ask what is disrespectful to say that the position we find ourselves in is ultimately the responsibility of the owner who implemented the strategy that led to this squad of players? Your refusal to scknowacknotge questions speaks volumes about you
It's whenever my phone comes up with a suggestion for a word it randomly changes it to something which contains a few correct letters in there but in completely the wrong order and then surrounds them with gibberish. I wish I knew how to turn it off
I think I'm loyal. Not missed many home games in 40 years. That's loyal to Barnsley not Jose Morais. I was going to Oakwell long before I'd even heard of him, I've carried on going while he's been here and I'll keep going long after he's gone. He seems like a good bloke but I think he's a poor football manager. Whether we stay up or not I think he should be thanked for his efforts in the week after the Derby game, but told we're going to go with someone else as manager next season. We can then set about recruiting that someone early so they can decide what they need for the new campaign and put across their ethos to the players in preseason. We made a mistake employing Morais. Everyone makes mistakes. Let's not turn that mistake into a disaster by getting sentimental about giving people time when they don't deserve it. Just because this terrible season isn't his fault, that doesn't make him a good manager. If we give Morais pre-season and allow him to start the new season in charge I predict he'll be sacked before the leaves turn brown and it'll be another season wasted.
The poster has asked a very reasonable question, in my opinion. He's not having a go at you, he's actually interested in your opinion on the matter. It might be more respectful to attempt to answer, rather than making snide digs at him.
might have been a little OTT but they had two shots on target the whole game and one of them was a pea roller
Don’t like or hate JM, he’s just a means to an end, the same as PH was. What I do struggle with is the double standards people show in judging the two. By that I mean the fans were loyal to PH to a fault but if he had been from anywhere but local fans would have turned.
