.......... why go there when they are likely to get much bigger wages at another club?

Leeds brought Hecky into the club because he’s proved that he can do a lot with little money.
Leeds didn’t bring in a proven big wages manager who will only manage a club with money to spend.
Basically because they are relatively poor in comparison to other Championship clubs.

All this talk about our current players going to Leeds - is all propaganda by Leeds to try and make us in Barnsley believe that we support a much inferior club.

I believe that Chien Lee and the rest of the Barnsley directors will slowly but surely challenge and eventually change the concept Leeds have of us.
    Mark my words here.

    Leeds aren’t poor.

They’ve spent some coin on wages recently and have tightened their belt, but they are not poor. The attendance and Sky appearance money also means they’ll be in no danger of FFP breaches either.

McBurnie isn't our player and unlikely ever to be.
Yiadom won't be our player soon- he'll have honoured his contract and be a free agent.
    Why worry?

I can’t see either player being with us or at Leeds next season. Both far too good.

    I said ‘relatively’ poor.
For example - more money to spend than Blunts - but Wendy can out bid them.

Leeds couldn’t hang on to Chris Wood.
Burnley are now a much bigger force and attraction in football than Leeds.
I would say there’s far more potential at Barnsley compared to Burnley.
Let’s see what Leeds do over the summer.

Yiadom will go wherever he can get the most money, he was prepared to go to South Wales at Swansea, stay in Yorkshire at Huddersfield & he’s from the London area.

The fact he’s getting linked with Leeds suggests he can’t get bigger wages elsewhere & that they’re about the biggest payers in for him at the minute.

McBurnie’s a bit different, young lad who wants to play games, score goals & get Scotland caps. He could sit on the bench / in the reserves at Swansea but wants first team football. If Leeds give him that when why not go there play loads & live with / close to your family?

Lazy journalism is only reason they are linked to Leeds.

What is the OP on about ? Leeds using propaganda against Barnsley ? Has a cold war developed between west & south yorkshire ? My word , I have seen some stupid theories on the message board but this one takes the biscuit.

Combination of journalists thinking who has Heckingbottom liked/ signed in the past and Leeds invariably having a wish list out there to try to convince their fans to stop moaning.Plus of course it’s hat time of year when the odious agents like to get into the who is going to be available at every opportunity.

I'm sure the respective agents are "busy" at work, "earning" their fees

Hecky hasn't proved anything. He did well with fantastic players in league one.

Half of them were so good that they carried us, at least away from home, for half of the following season.

Since they left he's done nothing at Barnsley or Leeds.

He is now a crap manager that doesn't win games, with or without good players.

I'm sure Leeds' biggest concern this summer will be making barnsley fans feel they support an inferior club.

"Right, welcome to the board meeting everyone. Hot topic as usual, how can we make Barnsley fans feel inferior going forward? No Dave, we'll get to the club accounts, ticketing, marketing and player contracts eventually, let's discuss the important stuff first though eh?"

    Board meeting?
Where did I mention owt about a board meeting?
Again - people reading what they want to believe.

I’m talking about all the furor surrounding Leeds fans, Leeds social media and journalists loyal to Leeds.
Surely no one (except for Jamo) believed that I was suggesting that the Leeds directors would be discussing how to undermine Barnsley at a board meeting.
    Lol !!!

Based on what evidence? The only potential we've got more of is in anagrams as we have 8 letters rather than 7.
