Similar here - put me in a queue then decided to kick me out. Refreshed the page and then was straight in. 3 tickets bought. Shame some have struggled but the system worked quite well for me.
Yep....that's a fair point. I have only myself to blame in that respect. Still think the second allocation shouldn't have been a free for all.
Colchester was a mess by making a catergory that wasn't used. Liverpool we let STHs have 2 per ticket, when we only had 6000 tickets and 8000 STHs so that was an even bigger mess. Today was always going to result in people missing out, but it's such short notice they could have only done a general sale.
Why not? There has been ample chance to purchase tickets for weeks now as far as I’m aware yet people who’ve waited until the outcome of the Brentford match suddenly think that they should’ve been given preferential treatment. We went to Forest and there were loads of spare seats knocking around and to be honest it has been the same for the majority of the season. I’m a season ticket holder myself but if I waited until today and missed out I certainly wouldn’t be crying blue murder because I had personally had a nightmare. It’s just how the cookie crumbles when you leave it late and roll the dice.
They’ve done the normal sale process weeks ago, have they not? Loads bought tickets before 17:00 on Saturday.
There was some anger among those queuing at the ground. They thought someone should have been keeping an eye on numbers and turning away those who didn't have a chance. I think that was impossible because of the unpredictability of online sales though.
Only 15 minutes before the end if I recall correctly. I bought mine as soon as I got back to Wombwell around 30 mins after the match. But if I’d been too late I wouldn’t have complained. I’d thought about buying one last week but to be honest I’d given up on us and didn’t fancy a trip to Derby for a dead game. Anyone who missed has only done so because they didn’t buy it before Saturdays result was known. So they can’t play the proper fan card.
Why’s that then ? Cos you didn’t get them two weeks ago ? Everybody had the same opportunity it’s nobody’s fault but your own !
There you go again, assuming that he's talking about himself. If you look earlier in the thread, he managed to get some.
I’ve no sympathy for anyone whinging that they missed out. The club shouldn’t be expected to restructure its whole away tickets plan just because some fans didn’t have faith that the team would take it to the last game. We’ve all had weeks to buy them but I like many others didn’t have the confidence we’d beat Brentford so I waited to see if the Derby game would have anything riding on it. I thought I’d missed out after queueing ages today until I got home & found out a mate had got them online. But when I thought I’d missed out I didn’t go abusing any of the staff like some of our fans did, many were bang out of order. Everyone had a fair chance to get the tickets & that’s a fact that can’t be argued.
Did they really? How pathetic. No doubt they’d been to every game home and away since we won the fa cup in 1912... Some folk’s sense of entitlement amuses me. There’s quite a few ‘better fan than you’ snobs around. If there was no opportunity for loyalty to have been rewarded I wouldn’t mind, but the tickets have been on sale for ages. It isn’t the club’s fault that such ‘loyal’ fans didn’t back them and buy in advance. Same as the folk who want the early bird st renewal extending - as they won’t renew at full price and wouldn’t renew before as the division we’ll be in wasn’t settled. The whole point of the early bird is rewarding the loyalty of fans prepared to back the team next season well in advance! Talk about having your cake and eating it. There’s a boozer near work does pie and a pint for a fiver before 5pm. I might go tomorrow at 7:30 and demand they honour the offer for me at that time as I bought one the other week.
I heard some of it. The amount of folk who are saying they never miss, our usual away following ought to be at least double.
