He is 2/1 to join Spurs, 4/6 to leave Swansea, anyone know if we have a sell on clause?

If we get a sell on all it Will do is negate the t.v. money lost next season.still fuming that even modest investments in January might have avoided relegation.

I'm not sure more players would have helped, we had no leadership or organisation on or off the pitch

    Nice ???
Some on here are still of the opinion that THE PLAN doesn’t work.
When in fact what it is that doesn’t work is selling all the first team within a few months.

I think a good manager would have kept us up, we had a goalscorer and plenty of depth, we didn't turn up to so many games under Jose (Burton, Forest, Leeds, Derby, Ipswich, Millwall) and we we threw away points in (Bristol, Hull, Bolton) with the favourable run in we had Gary Monk or someone like would have comfortably kept us up, look where Brum finished

Heckingbottom would have kept us up armed with Keiffer and McBurnie.

Back to the topic , I believe there is a sell on clause although I am under the impression that any sale will also include Brentford getting a pay out

15% I believe, but that would only be over and above the amount Swansea already paid us.

Using hypothetical numbers, if Swansea bought him from us for 2m, and sold him for 10m, we'd get nothing (15% of 10m is 1.5m, which they've already paid us). Under this scenario, we'd only make money if they sold him for more than 15m.

There will likely also be something payable to Brentford, so the 15% outright sell on is a bit misleading in terms of what we'd actually receive.

I thought it worked differently - that we get a percentage of any excess above the price they paid.

So using your example numbers we'd get 15% of 8m (10m - 2m). So 1.2m less whatever we might owe Brentford.

Incorrect. Brentford have had their pay out when he moved to Swansea.

That isn't how it works. We get a percentage of the profit Swansea make. They paid £5 million, so if they get £20 million for him, they have made a £15 million profit. Our cut is 15% of the £15 million profit, which means we will get £2.25 million.

I'm pretty sure Brentford only had the next sell on clause and not every future transfer, I hope we have a secondary sell on for Mason Holgate though (as we only got 1m) but I doubt we will, can see Everton scratching him off cheap and then him coming really good at his next club
