Thiam is not a striker but was played in that position for some reason - I guess because we were expecting the man/woman in charge of the fax to have hit "send" at Swansea and so had little choice? Anyway, playing on the right hand side of the front 3 I thought he looked really good, although I also question his fitness. Too soon to write off a young lad finding his feet in a new country who didn't even speak English - anyone expecting a young lad from French League 2 player to come in and bang in 30 goals needs sectioning.

Totally agree. Looked decent when on the RH wing and also despite not being the tallest, does well winning balls in the air. Everyone knows the English league is fat and physical - only the world class players adapt without issue.

Moncur and Bradshaw have been in the U.K. long enough, and they’ve not exactly set the league alight either have they. So like you say, a young French lad who doesn’t speak English and moving to a new country deserves a second season. A season which is against lower quality players.

And a final point I’ll make, is that if we did pay £900k for him, we can’t afford to ‘cut our losses’ he has to be given a chance. The lad in interviews comes across really well, grounded and keen to do well. Fair play to him.

I also think Knasmuller is the same - he’ll be a 2nd season player too. This season was all about settling in.

I don’t disagree, but he’s had many chances to prove he’s the player we all know he can be, unfortunately he has let us down all too often. I don’t think dropping down a league will make a difference personally.

Pinnock and roberts would have been a quality pairing.... If roberts is limited then im not sure what Lyndsey is! Nowhere near as good as roberts for me

That's not exactly hindsight though...just a statement of facts.
