I just finished Owen Jones' fantastic 'Chavs, the demonisation of the working classes' and was surprised how much I've noticed this sort of thing since then. Real shame.

 

What? Nicole jumped from a moving posh taxi? She’s a role model for young girls. Both of my daughters might see that and decide to jump out of a taxi.

I really couldn't care less about tattoo's and what they mean and who has them and where etc.
I do care though how Sterling and the rest of the England squad plays in the WCup, thats much more important.

 

Surprisingly I’d say Raheem has far more intelligence than you, that doesn’t say much for him though I have to admit.

 

I doubt very much he’s more intelligent than me but then I’m not a role model . Apart from being said role model for my children ( now grown up ) who think I’m the dogs ******** !

The kid didn't ask to be a role model, he worked hard to become a professional footballer not the next chuffin' Gandhi.

However, given his background and losing his dad at such a young age, I think he's done very well and shows how people can triumph over adversity.

Kids are hardly going to go out and source an AK47 because they've seen a tattoo on some footballer's leg, especially since his explanation for the likes of your benefit.

It's his body and if he wants a tattoo then it's his choice.
