    In fairness even if he’s absolutely appalling in the role that doesn’t mean that he wasn’t the outstanding candidate. But yes, we shall see if he’s successful in the role if and when appointed.

    I just cannot see that at all.
    I don’t think any British based manager has been considered.

    Well if it’s himI’m cautiously optimistic!
    At least we will have a manager in place for the transfer window and pre season, so he has every chance to succeed and barring injuries has no excuses should it go tits up!

    Of course Moore should have been in our sights but equally he was always going to accept the West Brom job. It's an epic no brainer. Therefore, he was never a realistic option.
    To a lesser degree but similarly Ross going to Sunderland and Hurst to Ipswich.
    That won't stop certain people claiming this makes the new guy a last resort.
