Just had a good look at Stendels tenure at Hannover 96 and to put the record straight as already some crap on here about losing 4 in a row or dip in form.. Looks purely a jobs for mates decision as to why he was sacked.. At the time he as sacked, the team were in 4th position but within touching distance of top spot in the league. Stendels team had gone 6 matches with only 1 defeat. Only actually losing 2 from the previous 15 games. Stendel was sacked on 20th March 2017, like I say 4th place.... They ended up 2nd gaining promotion back to the top flight after maintaining the same sort of form. 2 points from the eventual league winners. Very close run thing in the end. In short, very very harsh sacking... I'm optimistic about this guy coming in.
