whether he would bother for £70 a week is a different question though. Actually it depends on the terms of his severance anyway. If he has been given a 500K lump sum as a settlement for loss of office then he can sign on, but if he is effectively on some form of gardening leave - like we did with Mark Robins for example and paid in installments he wont be eligable. In any case he wont starve and will have no problem getting a job at least as a coach if not manager fairly quickly
I think in football these days everything is spread out so like you say he's probably got it split over 12 months, must be nice.
