I wonder if we'll be seeing a lot more of him now. Native German speaker, the only one at the club that I'm aware of. I'm sure the new boss will be aware of his record at Admira Wacker, which was excellent, and it would just make sense that the two of them might be a bit closer than the other players between the shared native language, similar culture etc. I hope he can get the best out of him, I was very optimistic about this transfer at the time.
Not sure if it would be the fact that they speak similar languages that will bring the best out of Knasmullner. I imagine Stendel will be sufficient in the English language. However, I do feel like the league standard will allow him to show more what he can do. I’ve still got high hopes for him and hopes that he will be a very good player for us. Although, I must add, that this is based probably more on hope than anything else!
Guess it's better to start playing a new system in a weaker league.. Plus if we get a full season of this pressing style of footy under our belts in League 1 and end up getting promoted, it's just a case of fine tuning the quality for the champ.
