Understand #barnsleyfc have turned down two six figure bids from 2 different Championship clubs for striker Kieffer Moore. More bids likely...
If we have any ambition of getting promoted we have to reject all bids below 2 million he still has 3 year left on his contract. Testing times for the board.
If we sell him and then go out and try a like for like we're barmy. If he doesn't fit into the style of play the new manager wants then we're maximising revenue on a surplus player. Personally I hope we keep him.
He signed a 3 and half year contract didn't he? I'd make him stay for a year at least. If we don't get back up first time then fair enough let him go. Didn't see Wigan selling Grigg last year and I'm pretty sure there'd have been bids.....
How long did it takes us to get a big un up front, so if we get shut, how long will it take us to get a big un up front?
I' imagine one of the club' making the bid will be rotherham who won't pay more than 1million so are probley trying to turn his head and hope he forces out.
Maybe Grigg was happy. We need a harmonious dressing room no room for players who don't want to be here
Perhaps he is one of the players who expressed a desire to leave if a Championship Club came in for them. I'm not bothered either way.
I can’t see much why a big guy up front who lacks skill and finishing would fit our new system. Other teams who play that system don’t use a big guy up front. Moore wasn’t good enough to lace oli’s boots. Also if he wants to go only a few months after signing let him As long as we make a couple of million profit
You just basically said he's not good enough but you want at least 2.7 million for him hmmm Stats speak for themselves 16 starts 4 goals 4 assist I would defiantly be keeping if we want to get out of league one at the 1st time of asking will score for fun.
I think Moore is a good player and was definitely one of our better performers since January. However, I could see this move happening because I don't think he will fit the new style of play without big improvements to his fitness. I remember Hull away he was absolutely spent by the end - fair enough we'd had two games in close proximity but if he cant cope with that then doubt he's going to fit in to the way we want to play. That said, if that's the case then there needs to be some serious questions asked around our recruitment policy. Seems increasingly like we've just recruited whoever was available rather than to fit a plan - which is exactly what we were meant to be getting away from.
You can only imagine teams with a low budget wanting him in the championship. So the chances are if everything goes to plan we’d be passing him coming in the opposite direction at the end of the year?! The club is in a strong position here so unless he wants to leave he’d be foolish to leave until next summer.
Tell him to get stuffed. He knew signing a three and a half year contract that their was a chance he'd get relegated. He should look at the sitters he missed, get his head down and not complain.
