Unless its 3 million + then we shouldn't sell regardless of his own desire. Plenty of players may request transfers and get sold, plenty are turned down and get on with playing for their current club without being a disruption.
I said in the thread yesterday (about which players would want championship football) that I expected him to have interest from championship clubs and it’s taken less than 24 hours to come to fruition. I would not sell him for anything less than double what we paid for him. He’s got a long contract and should score a lot of goals in league 1.
We cannot judge Moore on this last year He was under the Messiah and probably did not believe enough If Morais had no idea what he was doing how can you blame the lads I thought he was just the man for McBurnie to feed off but hey? He was on the wing and the big lad was on his own up front The Lone Ranger
Not strictly true though is it. They have £6m from Championship. But what about other money in the coffers. We have money from 8000 season ticket sales and whatever from transfers etc. We have more financial clout than Rotherham but they have upper hand on status at the moment
I don't think they will be a million miles behind us in season ticket sales and their away end will be fuller next season. I would imagine that without the £6m our revenues would be similar next season but add the £6m on - big difference.
My personal view is the lad could be a huge asset for us in the upcoming season. His work rate for the team, strength and heading can't be called into question, in my opinion. However, he could do with being a bit calmer in front of goal in order to convert a higher percentage of his chances. Having said that, he certainly managed to accomplish this last season at Rotherham, so it may well be a confidence issue for the lad. Should he wish to leave, then I'd hope we can get a decent transfer fee for him, although it'd probably be 'undisclosed' were it to happen.
Actually what I said is he won’t fit this new style, but obviously if we are going to sell we should get a healthy profit, common sense. But in all Honestly he’s not blessed with good skill and finishing but fair play if you think he is
When he signed up for us, for a fair old length of contract, Mr Moore would have known that there was a fair chance of his being relegated with us. So if he wanted to scarper off if we went down, he should have had something stuck in his contract to cater for this. Without such clause, there ought to be no significant consideration given to what Mr Moore himself now wishes. He has a job to do for his employers, which I happen to think he does quite well. Apart from the "in the net" part.
The thing is with Moore , he does miss sitters yes but the fact that he gets on the end of a lot of chances speaks volumes for the lad , we have had strikers & probably still have strikers who do not miss chances the same as Moore does , quite simply its easy not to miss if you do not get to the opportunities , with Moore he busts a gut every single time to get on the end of things & also, he knocks the centre backs of the opponents about who certainly know they have been in a game when they are marking him . This season many of the sides will have big lumps at the back instead of the more cultured defenders of the Championship , therefore it is very important that we have someone up front who can hold his own on the physical front as well as creating for himself & his fellow team mates , to me its vital we hang on to him
Yes but what I mean is, how will that make them more well off than us? Their away end isn't going to be as full as ours was last season is it?
