    Don’t think anyone did enough to claim a place in the 1st team tonight. Rose at fault for the goal so unlikely to displace young. Pickford didn’t impress much either but I can’t see Butland starting instead. Baring injury I think we can all guess the starting 11 on Tuesday. If Ali is fit he will start otherwise Loftus Cheek was one of our better players

    At his best he should be, had a shocking season due to injury & I’m not convinced he’s anywhere near his best yet

    For Colombia, I would have: Pickford (I would prefer Butland, but Pickford has done nothing to warrant being replaced); back three of Cahill (more experienced at this role than Walker and less gaffe-prone), Stones and Maguire; wing backs Trippier (boy did we miss his set pieces last night) and Rose (made a good case to be picked ahead of Young, who is too temperamental imho); midfield centre Henderson (another we missed), Loftus-Cheek/Alli (Loftus-Cheek has impressed enough to be seen as on a par with Alli); Lingard (for his movement, work rate and goal threat); front two Kane and Sterling/Rashford (I thought that Rashford didn't do a lot to advance his cause last night, so the experience of Sterling might be better to start with and Rashford as the impact sub). That would look like our strongest starting eleven imho.
