    I would say about 5 of that squad will go.
    Also younger end will be sent out on loan.
    Which is exciting because it means quite a few will be coming in.
    I’d guess at 5 or 6 - maybe more.

    Not convinced with the wide options.... Lloyd isgrove has proved he's more than good enough and should really be a key player in this squad, but as we know injuries are a problem for him. Hedges, DMH, thiam not proved anything yet

    Nobody’s buying 5 of them.
    All under contract, Lindsay, Bradshaw & Moore could interest a few championship clubs but no one will pay I’m guessing about £1m to 2m

    Leafue one is a diffrent kettle to the championship for me I agree with him we have a good squad for league one we need a midfielder who can put a tackle in break play up and play a bit.

    That squad looks ok in the CB and ST positions.

    GK a worry if Walton doesn't improve how we hope he will
    FB a worry.
    CM all similar players. Need at least 2 ball winning midfielders
    Wingers. 2 are made of glass and 1 is usually blowing out of his arse after 5 mins.

    Need at least 6 for me, all of which need to better than what we have, to give us a chance of challenging.

    Yes I’d agree with that.
    We have the basis of a very good 1st Division side that with the addition of maybe 6 would really be strong.

    Obviously we don’t need 24 (TWENTY FOUR !!!) like we did last season.
    Jeez !!!

    In yesterday's Chronicle, Jack Walton claims in an article with Doug O'Kane, that our existing squad
    is already goog enough for promotion. He believes that along with the existing "Senior" pros, there are several
    players in the U23's capable of stepping up to the mark. He cites Victor Adeboyejo, Ben Williams and Jared
    Bird, as being in that category. He went on to say a few of these lads have been training with the first team and have
    integrated very well indeed. Jack says he's enjoying working under the new Head Coach and goes on to say " he's been
    really good so far. The training has been really intense. The boys have bought into his philosophy and are getting
    used to his style and ideas." Personally my hopes for the new season is that we bring in three quality players to replace
    Pearson, Knasmullner and Mallan and see where we can go from there. Not really bothered if they are loans or permanents
    at this stage.

    The spine of the teams already there a few quality loans ie Matty James, Ashley fletcher, sort of impact loans, or we could buy again, ie Mallan, Pearson, little or no impact signings!

    Yep, that's the two options. Loan in a once every few years player or a player who doesn't work out. No possibility of signing a player who fits

    Gary Gardner knows the players knows the set up and a good player , bang average yes correct but look we are in division 1.
    £20k a week don't think so, arn't villa having a bit of a money problem.
