    being sacked a few times in over a decade with the nature of modern football is hardly something to hang over someones head. Especially when Leeds did to SG what Barnsley did to Ritchie only they were not bottom of the league

    fact of the matter is we want L1 promotion and this man has achieved it four times.

    His 'failures' in the circumstances are nothing really. Judging him on the Bradford thing is like saying Brian Clough was no good due to his Leeds reign. Sunderland near on impossible to save the sinking ship.

    Utterly nonsensical to doubt him for these reasons and lets be right no manager has the perfect CV but some managers such as Grayson certainly have a glowing record.

    Interesting how no one brings up his PNE role too, since he did such amazing work there.

    So Stendel had the title favourites in 4th position. With better resources and players at his disposal than most teams.

    Funny how that is lorded as some outstanding achievement and four promotions is just brushed under the carpet by some people

    Well seeing as we can't include Leeds in his statistics we should also scratch Preston from his record too. So taking these clubs out his record is even worse than I thought. We definitely dodged a bullet.
