    What are their views now - now that they are continually failing to bring their transfer targets in - because they are being out bid - basically because they haven’t got the money.

    Oh ....... and BTW ........ Abdullah has taken first steps in getting McCabe into court.
    Dispute over transfer kitty.
    Apparently Abdullah doesn’t want to spend owt.

    No 2 ways about it they are a bigger club than us. Last I heard they were trying to sign vydra for 10million. I don't care about Leeds or hecky but they are a bigger club than us.

    Whatever you think of Leeds and I dislike them with a passion, there is no denying that they are a big club; far bigger than we are.

    it pains me to say it but I have to agree with you. Also both DeeDah clubs are bigger than us, its not nice to admit it but its true..... however we are a more open and honest club which has provided me with enough time in the sunshine to satisfy me.

    I concur. I hate all the ‘big club’ nonsense, who cares if you get more home fans or sell more shirts

    We could be the smallest club or the biggest club in the world and it wouldn’t change how I feel.

    It's not just that Leeds Is a city with a 700k population and one football team. Also people in wakefield York also mostly follow Leeds.

    Leeds United are a bigger club than Barnsley. Didn't you say the hat yourself when you was commenting on them having the Yorkshire rose on their badge?

    The prince doesn’t have a lot of money but folk seem to be blinded by his title . In that part of the world there are literally hundreds of princes and it doesn’t mean a great deal

    It's a good point. If you looked at our attendance compared with our catchment area we actually do pretty well considering.

    What’s our catchment area?
    And how many people live in it?

    Don’t say Barnsley District at c220,000.
    BECAUSE we are not an isolated town like for example Lincoln, York or even Derby is.

    We are surrounded IMMEDIATELY by other towns and cities.
    North - Wakefield
    South - Rotherham and Sheffield
    East - Doncaster
    West - Huddersfield

    Many people living on the edges of those towns see Barnsley as their local town.
    So what is the population of the catchment area ???

    What's this "big club" nonsense in English football all about? The way I see it, the bigger your club is, the more embarrassing it is if the results don't go hand in hand with the size of the club.

    In the 50s when I was at school in Wakefield, most kids supported Huddersfield. Leeds and Barnsley supporters came a poor second, but equal. However times have changed, and undoubtably the Revie revolution changed the Leeds supporting contingent to be the majority in Wakey.
