Hi I am David Whittington Or Whitto. A very interesting thread regarding George Raynor. I knew George through my family. My mother was at school in Hoyland with him approx. 1915, he worked for my grandfather in Hoyland. We lived in Skegness so when he came to manage the team there many happy times were spent in his company and as a football mad youngster went with him to the ground. I had a kick around with the trainees at Coventry, and at Doncaster I met Alec Jeffery who was there after Injury. While living in Doncaster thieves broke into his home and stole the majority of his Swedish memorabilia, he was gutted! So a big thanks for jogging my memory bank.
