I'm all in favour of going for it. Our entire trophy cabinet consists of one FA Cup, three Third Division titles and an EFL Cup. We're not in a position to turn our noses up at adding to it, especially in a competition we have a realistic chance of winning.
If we were to get to the final again, I (for one) would take great pride in watching my team walk out at Wembley.
What a horrible competition. It's a shame it's mandatory, although if it wasn't we would probably still want to take part.
"The 48 EFL clubs have been placed into pre-determined groups, with consideration given to ensure travel time is minimised for supporters and recovery time is maximised for players." So its not a draw at all.... That's a very very grim precedent. How long til rich clubs get byes in the FA cup etc? Just when you think the sporting bodies couldn't detach themselves any further from fairness.
I think the biggest the g wrong with competition is sides getting fined for making too many changes. I posted in the world cup if the England Belgium game was subject to the same rules both sides would have been fined. As for the rest of it I have been to more games at Wembley than Oakwell to watch this competition.
