Back in the news over the search of Cliff Richard's house. They have to pay 35% of £190k on top of the £400k settlement they had agreed with him before the trial. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44871799
South Yorkshire police could have done with us still in the championship so they could make back some cash by charging us far too much for bigger crowds..... Those who treated Cliff so badly should be the people paying him what he rightly deserves. Even with what he's getting he's still out of pocket financially from trying to clear his names and no matter how many millions he's got, that's still not right.
The police fkd up. I doubt they'd have initially gone to such lengths without any case against Sir Cliff
It's not right but I think he has a tour and he'll be selling his side of the story. Shocking thing that happened to him but can,'t see him being put of pocket
If there was a grounds for investigation, then a search should have been made under a warrant (presuming there had been a complaint from a member of the public). Whether it should have been made public knowledge depends on a case-by-case basis, but if others had come forward on the back of it (like Jimmy Saville, etc) then it would have been better to publish than not. Saying that, it shouldn't have been shown live on the BBC.
