I like Pinnock but is he worth nearly four times what John Egan is worth? I don't think Egan is worth £4million if that is what was paid but if they did that doesn't mean that Pinnock is worth at least £15million in my opinion.
You’re absolutely right Tyrone. A ROI international with near 90 games at championship level is worth one third of a lad who has played 12 games at championship level. I like your logic. The less experience a player has the more money they’re worth. Shaun Tuton must be worth billions.

John Egan isn't it? Played two seasons at a quality Brentford side in the Championship who've finished in the top 10 both seasons. 4 million is probably about right (sadly) in this day and age. Ethan Pinnock played sparingly (albeit admirably from what I saw) in a team that finished 22nd, that being his only time in the championship. Pinnock may turn into a very good player but on the above, he is obviously not worth more than Egan. But then you knew that.
You pays your money and you take your choice . If that’s the going rate you either pay it and move forward or you go backwards . It’s simple enough , when you look at the recent history of any club that’s had a modicum of success they’ve spent money . We did the opposite and cashed in on our assets and now we’re in the alehouse league .
