    Only a friendly (usual caveat) but Thiam and Mowatt look like different players. Mowatt in particular looks composed, a turn of pace and looks much better sitting a bit deeper

    We haven't approached this game like a friendly. Clearly been told give it all they've got. As they should with the first competitive game being next week. Bags of energy in the team which is good to see.

    I’m glad it’s not just me thinking this.

    Mowatt could be like a new signing for us based on this. His set pieces will be useful too.

    I’ve been impressed with our passing and pressing.

    Given that he won Leeds fans player of the year 2 years on the trot there must be a better player in there than we've seen to date. He also won Yorkshire post player of the year, players player of the year and young player of the year in those 2 years. Hopefully, our new head coach will get the best out of him.

    Same at York, same against West Brom. The players giving everything. So many people say “glorified kickabout - I’m not paying for that “. What rubbish! This team is VERY good to watch and it’s going to be a great season.

    Was surprised Victor A came on for Hedges. Thought it would be Izzy. But he’s done really well. Strong, holds on to the ball, decent first touch. Not sure he’s a winger though.

    Hopefully Bradshaw off for Isgrove and then move VA up front. Bradshaw hasn’t looked in it at all. Moore at least causing problems, winning flick ons and chasing them down.

    Decent half over all. Mowatt looked best player on the pitch for either side.

    What’s Dougall been like other than his goal obviously. Does he look like the defensive midfielder we need.
