We've steam rolled them really and two cracking goals by Thiam. They look much fitter than last season. Hope they don't burn out because they've put in a lot of effort and it's very warm.

Be incredible if we could put that effort in for the full 90. Wonder if we’ll try and conserve some energy & hit them on break or go flat out for 3rd. Hope we go flat.

Listening on ropey wi-fi from Spain - are we playing 4-3-3 or 4-4-2? Cheers

    4-4-2

Looking very tired now. Oxford have been through on goal a couple of times. But we just nearly scored from the half way line

4-4-2. As expected can’t keep intensity from first half up. But Oxford chances mainly from our sloppy play.

Should have conceded at least once. Moncur on for Thiam.

That should be it. Great save by Davies, Oxford corner and we break away and score. Potts started and finished it.

So apart from tiredness how is the defence shaping up?

4-0 flatters us a little, we weren't 2 goals better than them this half but this game was won in the first half when we were dominant.

    Thiam official motm

    I'd go for dougal

    Great result, really good performance.

Defense likely to get better as they get used to way of playing it out. Cavare superb. Pinillos bit nervous.

Hats off to Davies. Didn’t do anything wrong and couple of good saves. 1 very good. Should do his confidence the world of good.

Agree, can see why we tried to sign their keeper eastwood as without him it would have been 7 or 8.

Thank god for that l thought l was watching a different game. This league is poor, that's one of the stronger teams.

From what I have the season games I expected us to have too much pace, movement and pressing for many teams in the division. Sounds like that was the case today. Good stuff

Davies needs to move his feet more the one he tipped rarnd post could have been caught if only he used his feet more for positioning.

No I'm not joking. As I said, we were completely dominant first half, but Oxford came back in to it second half. They were through one on one twice and Davies pulled off a fantastic save at 2-0. We went up the other end from their corner to make it 3-0 and put the game to bed, but before that the second half was very even with Oxford starting to edge it. Completely deserved our victory, but we were under a bit of pressure second half before that third went in. 2-0 gives a very clear reflection of how the first half went. We weren't so dominant in the second but it was set up by that great first half performance.

I don't think we took our foot off the gas I think we were knackered. Which is sort of the same thing I guess.

Could have had another couple with a bit more luck but likewise they could have had one or two. I'd say a 4 goal gap looked about right to me
