Players being fit and well organised... actually look like a team and one that enjoys playing football

When confidence takes a knock you have nothing to fall back on - we used to look gone after 60 minutes - these kept going and substitutes didn't change flow of the game. There will be harder games than this but we've hit the ground running and look strong

There will be harder games but Oxford only just missed the playoffs. There will be more worse than them than better. Be interesting to see how we do next week at Bradford.

Oxford didn't know what hit them first half. We were all over them from the first whistle and they couldn't cope. It shouldn't have been a surprise to them, we announced we were going to play with a high press when Stendel took the job, but I don't care if the opposition don't prepare for such tactics, I hope it's the same throughout the season.

We couldn't keep up the same intensity second half but I don't think many teams could. There's got to be times in the game when the players take a breather. And this was the first game of the season on a very warm day. They'll have much better match fitness by the time we get into September.

Very good performance from all the team. I thought the new lad Kenny made a difference, very unlucky with the 50 yarder.

    Didn't they finish 16th - 6 points off drop?

Yes, 15 points off the play-offs. Not that it puts a dampener on our victory, we won and won well, but we'll play a lot better than Oxford.
