Just on Blackpool... I remember they beat a very expensively assembled Cardiff City team in the final. It was a great example of a team of committed players playing their hearts out in an attacking display of endeavour. Cardiff had great individuals but lacked that spark. Afterwards I think it was Stephen McPhail was quoted in saying that Cardiff had to invest heavily and spend big to ensure success the following season. I just thought it missed the point by a country mile and held up Blackpool's achievement even higher. Money has never guaranteed anything in football. I still think Blackpool's achievement deserves more recognition than it gets. Holloway is a maverick who has seen his career nose-dive and comes across as a clown-like figure but the Blackpool story was wonderful. Probably the most unexpected promotion to the Premier League I've seen, even more so than ours!

I happen to be good friends with a Pompey fan ( born down there but grew up in Barnsley ) . Asked him after all their success and predictable downfall was it worth it ( fa cup, uefa cup run , 7 years in prem) and he simply answered no , would have taken years of mediocrity over putting the whole club at risk . On a side note who did the dodgy russian buy Portsmouth off of , yep Milan mandritch ........

Yes our plight is dire and knob head oyston won't let go.

We protested years before the prem but the 100m from the promotion clearly showed what they were all about (for those that didnt believe it)

When we won at Wembley we all said 'at least we will get a training ground now'... We currently don't have a training ground as hasn't got a building or toilets. Bowyer was paying out of own pocket to train elsewhere.

We only spent 500k on Adam and 1m on DJ.. which belekon funded. As he received little money from promotion he has taken oystons to court and is currently owed 25m!! Last week Owen offered the club to him for 5m but that doesn't include stadium etc... So who would in their right mind have oystons as landlords! but our promotion was all to do with belekon!

They have sued numerous fans including Joey Barton for 50k as he dare say they were asset stripping the club.

Loved my trips to Barnsley but sadly I'm NAGM so haven't been for nearly 4yrs now.

All very sad but all down to one awful family.

Fancy u to bounce back up, as for us just hope we can stay up but gonna be tough ask

Went to a night with Craig Hignett at the lamproom a few years back. He told me that Blackpool were that tight they actually bought a load of 2nd hand training balls from Wolves for next to nothing rather than buying new ones. Unreal when you think about it.

we already have an AFC Blackpool who play a few leagues below non league, even went to an organised oyston out protest game at AFC. But no it's BFC without the oystons or nothing.

So many stories about BFC u wouldn't believe, the one true one is our legacy from the prem and 100m are.... sprinklers... That's it.

Oh and one of our protests karl oyston removed (and damaged) our Morty statue as he believe fans would damage it...as if. Another thing to wind fans up.

Last week our new reporter tweeted how bad the training ground is and not likely to be used for foreseeable future... Karl replied 'not bad considering everything going on'. So just these few snippets show them for what they are.

What I call a proper club Blackpool. Had some great away days there. Disgusting what the proper folk of that town are going thru but Im right behind them and it WILL get better. Time and the good people of Blackpool will see to that. Respect
