Difficult to believe just how stupid football managers are

    3 months ago we announced to the world we appointed a manager because he played the high press. That's what Stendel and his back room staff have consistently spoken of since they joined. True to their word, that's how we played in the first game and Oxford couldn't cope with it. Similar story at Bradford.

    The one thing you shouldn't do against such tactics is try to play football at the back with a bunch of donkey league 1 defenders. Yet here we are at Rochdale and that's exactly what they're doing, causing themselves all sorts of problems. We're all over them and the only reason we're not 3-0 up is that we couldn't finish our tea.

    Absolutely. It is odd though. Try to play football against us, particularly in your own half, and we'll destroy you. Keep it tight, like Wimbledon, and you have a chance. Money for old rope football management.

    Perhaps Rochdale don’t have the players to play the way Wimbledon did against us. Or Keefy is simply too stubborn to change it.?

    Don’t think launching it up front would do them much good either though Lyndsay and Pinnock have won everything and we’re too strong for them in the second ball.

    Still pretty remarkable what Keith does at Rochdale though - they consistently punch above their weight, so he can't be that dim.
    Every so often they are going to get a thrashing though, and tonight is one such night.
