Wernt we once interested in him? From what I’ve seen works hard and has a decent record. Plus there’s the bonus of taking their best player

He'd be one of our oldest players at 26. He looks like a decent striker, but I think he may have fallen off the edge of the spreadsheet now.

Not a bad player with a very good record at donny over last few years. But I would love to see someone with pace come in and not sure that is Marquis. But he could well be a good addition

We were never interested in Marquis, just paper talk. GG confirmed that in the summer. Would he suit the high press? Does he get about much?

M'Voto, McIndoe, James Bailey, Jason Shackell - even their hero Coppinger was ready to come to us, there would be hedgehog and lucky heather all over the place if this happened.

I thought Coppinger turned us down?

Whatever happened he always seemed to play well against us over the years. Surely he won’t do this season too?!

Before the transfer window closed Doncaster were reported to have turned down a bid of £750 k for Marquis & at the time I said in a thread that this kind of money being turned down for a decent division one striker & how much it would cost us to replace Bradshaw . I admire Doncasters resolve , its a pity we cannot match it .

I seem to remember him more or less begging us to sign him on the radio once, been trying to find the clip for years with no luck

Yes. He heard a rumour, jumped on it with the local media and came out with the comment about us being a big club... we then denied any interest.

You know they're desperate when they say we're big club.

He was one of those players who always seemed to have the best game of their season against us. He used to do my head in. Claridge was another one. And Brunt when he was at the dee dars.

Big lad isn’t he? A bit too similar to Moore I would have thought

He's a similar height to Bradshaw. One inch taller.

Said a while back, although I can’t find the actual quote, that he hates sit darners and believes everyone should be stood at all times. I think he’s a dogshit footballer but hearing that I think he’d be an excellent signing.
