This lad gets his fair share of stick on this board so in the interests of balance I thought he deserved a pat on the back for his performance against Rochdale on Tuesday. Two assists plus it looks very much like it was he who blocked Dales early second half chance rather than Davis who got all the credit for it.

Pinillos' arse definitely gets the credit for preserving our zero goals against from where I was watching.

Yeah looked like he blocked it to me.

He's definitely starting to get up to speed. Going straight into the Championship was a tad too much right away, just like it was for a few more of the new faces. But it looks like he's turning out to be a good one.

I've been impressed with him. Not spectacular but looks solid and delivers a good cross. How many assists for him this season?

My mate who’s a season ticket holder at forest says he’s excellent and they turned down bids over a few million for him....

Think he had a bad injury though

A couple of my mates who support Forest said exactly the same. Though if they were the same mates as you spoke to, that doesn't really strengthen Pinillos's case!

That's what that lad at Blackpool was trying to explain to him

That block was definitely a key moment. Well done Dani.

He’s got a good left foot and I’d like to see him venture up the pitch a bit more to try and get some crosses in. But with Cavare on the other side, it could be instructional for Dani to stay back a little bit more.
