His future at Old Trafford must be in question after tonight surely.? Sixteen minutes left it's Man Ure 0 Spurs 3.!!
I think it's funny because actually United haven't been that bad and have had their moments. Certainly not a 3-0 but I really don't like Mourinho so very much enjoying this
Finished 0-3 at Old Trafford. Board Members glowering in Jose's direction as he went in front of the stand to applaud the fans. Dreaded vote of confidence looks imminent.
I think player power and poor attitude is going to be his undoing. Going to get sacked tomorrow i reckon.
Signed Bailly and Lindeloff yet starts with Jones Smalling and Herrera in a back 3. Mata and Martial.not in squad. Sanchez (another Jose signing) on the bench Rashford an unused sub. Jose however likes his clueless launch it route one to Fellaini tactic. Not really the makings of a special.one.
Not the fault of Jose for the poor defending. He wasn't the keeper who didn't even move for a tame looping header, with no power behind it. He wasn't the left back that went AWOL to give Spurs all the time in the world to cross for the second. Nor was he the defender put on his ass for the third. He sets the tactics, but if the players don't follow them. Would love for them to get shut and appoint Wenger.
I only watched it up until half time, at which point Gary Neville was saying how encouraged he was with their tempo, then they came out and conceded 3! Also listened to Mourinho being interviewed earlier and he was like a sulking kid. When asked about the opposition, he replied with something like "no comment". Surely when you're paid so much money the least you can do is be professional and answer questions. I don't dislike the bloke but he doesn't do himself any favours with his bi polar nature.
It would appear that the teams he manages seem to tolerate his arrogance for a couple of seasons before they turn on him. It happened at Real Madrid, Chelsea and if the rumours are correct it's now happening at Man Utd. Ferguson had his critics, but he never ever criticised his players in the media and tried to stand their corner in the Board room. He had his moments with Stam, Beckham and Keane, but he never washed any dirty linen in public. He was single minded and utterly ruthless, but everything he did that could be perceived as " unsavoury" , was all done behind the scenes. I once attended a game at Old Trafford on Corporate and was on the same table for lunch with Norman Whiteside and David Sadler. They both praised Fergie for his understanding and attitude towards all of his players and didn't have a bad word to say about him.
Jones is a Championship player - always has been. Looks like Smalling is now as well. The plastics have no centre backs. But for a club like that - they have had some shocking centre backs over the years - Brown and Evans spring to mind.
Think you've hit the nail on the head. When you look back at the Man Utd of old, they always had decent centre backs. They've invested over the past few years on either the wrong players or the wrong position.
