At Barnsley. Woodrow has muscle problem. Not sure if he will feature at weekend, says Winkler

No he hasn't, can't have..." he was signed too late to play" clubs official line... so must be true.
even though.. like a few said, loans can play if they're signed right up to mid-day of the match..

Why lie when the truth is good enough?... if the lad is injured.. then just say so ..

But you were so desperate to divert the flack from selling Bradshaw, so desperate to get someone in no matter what... even to the extent of making a video of Winkler and making him look foolish, as if the assistant coach is not in the loop.... absolute amateurs ..

Bit Nudgeresque this. Couldn’t this have been posted on the other Woodrow thread?

Maybe the muscle problem developed this week in training.

Well, for a start I spelled your user name correctly. It simply meant a new post made about something that could quite easily have been added to a thread that was already recent and near to the top of the board. Which is something that you tend to do quite often.

I don't agree. The general feeling of losing Bradshaw was one of "meh". Some people used it as a stick to hit the club with, just like you're trying to do now.

If he was signed with a slight muscle injury that might take a couple of weeks to recover then what's the problem? We've adequate cover until he's fit.

Yep, it'd be more daft to not sign a player we rate just because he's out for a couple weeks.

in the past twelve to eighteen months....
    The owners have changed
    The manager has changed
    The CEO has changed

And yet in the eyes of some we're still the s**t, badly run club we always have been.

Read into that what you will.

I would dispute we have adequate cover until he's fit. We needed some back-up before Bradshaw was sold.

We needed another good striker with Bradshaw. Not getting McBurnie in last August (in time) cost us staying up, not getting it right this month could cost us not going back up!! We have singed one unproven striker who is injured, we have lost 2 points already since Bradshaw left....he shouldn't have been sold until we had quality replacements, simple as that!!!

Do you think still having Bradshaw would've won us the game against Scunny? Not a dig, just a genuine question

I actually do...with bradshaw in we restricted teams as we defended from the front.
No coincidence we hadn't conceded before that (ok that was never going to remain the same).
It will take time for anyone else to fit in to that role imho...and we may have to be very patient

I guess we will never know! But the shape first half with GM playing through the middle just didn’t look right. With all the chances/crosses around the box in the second half you would have fancied him to score!

We are already looking to kids with a lack of games to come off the bench! If we get another injury we are really struggling, you can’t play kids for 90 mins let alone Saturday/Tuesday! We are throwing away a very good chance of a good season if we don’t get another good striker in!
