Onto Plymouth Tuesday night looking forward to it they are yet to win so potential for a upset. I didn't go Fleetwood but eyebrows were raised from the team selection dropping Lindsay and thiam (I know we did this v Burton also) I assume we have no new players back from injury pushing for a start except hedges. But do we stick with the same team? How did Jackson and bahre play v Fleetwood well enough to keep their places?

This is EXACTLY the kind of game we always lose!

Exactly! In my decades of following the Reds it has always been the 'easier' games where we slip up and fail to consolidate/progress. Hopefully this new regime can put that to bed with 3 points on Tuesday.

Edit- I know there are no easy games and anybody can beat anybody etc.

3-0 win. Jackson played well and I don't think Lindsay was harshly dropped. He gets done in the air too often like for the Gillingham goal. Couldn't stop Oldham scoring even though he was fouling their player. Other examples too. Like that Stendel isn't afraid of changes and if we don't give Jackson a run of games, that's him moving on. He's not going to sign a new contract to bench warm, so would just leave next summer for nothing. Now he sees how much he's rated and hopefully sign an extension.

Wouldn't be Barnsley if everything were straight forward.

I think we'll either give them a good hiding or lose- can't see any in between with this one!!

Reminds me of the game v Torquay (near Plymouth) in 1978. For those old enough.

Ah, the 2-1 home defeat, after we'd won the first five games of the season.

Jackson did ok without particularly impressing. If Potts is fit Moncur should drop to the bench as once again he flattered to deceive. Bahre was neat and tidy without imposing himself.

Reminds me of the game v Portsmouth (begins with P ends with mouth) in 2001.

Do we play Dougall and risk him getting booked and missing Peterborough? If so, and assuming no Woodrow, I'd go for same team with Thiam (4-3-3) or Victor (4-4-2) and Potts for Moncur and Bahre (no reflection on Bahre but Thiam, Victor and Potts are our best bet for goals outside of Kieffer).

All that Plymouth should be getting out of a trip to Oakwell is a complimentary warm drink when they get to the away end, out of respect for any of their fans daft enough to go to the game.

The words "they haven't won a single game" are making me nervous.

Had a look at getting a bet on a win by 3 clear goals, but odds are very short, so bookies don't fancy their chances much.

    Another 3 points for me!

I think he'll go with Saturdays winning team. He tinkered after the coventry defeat, but seems to like a settled side generally.

We, as the fans need to be patient with this one, but can see people getting a bit on edge if we’re not winning after 15-20 minutes. If they come and shut shop, we will struggle.

i personally fancy us more to beat Posh on saturday than i do tomorrow.

Strange one though as they need 3 points surely their manager is on thin ice now without a win all season could be the end for if if they don't win. I'd expect them to get men behind the ball and hit us on the break hopefully we have too much quality for them.
