SOLD OUT: Peterborough United (A) Ticket News Tickets for our trip to ABAX Stadium on Saturday 6th October have sold out. Continue reading on the official site...
Tell you what lads we’ve done well to sell out that 4K their chairman said we would get allocated. Well done.
1800 according to football league grounds guide. In their main stand with little leg room, and I'm 6ft.
Oops. Train tickets purchased before match tickets. Looks like an afternoon sesh in Peterborough. I see Pompey got 2500 other week.
If we had requested that many we would have got that many. We didn't indicate to them that we needed anywhere near that amount so it didn't justify moving their fans from the larger stand to reserve us 4,000 seats. If we had indicated that to them we could have had them.
The Posh owner is getting unwaranted stick on Twitter from our fans. Fair play to him giving them time of day by responding to them. If we had sold out Burton weekend we probably would have got 4k or at least more than we got. But we haven't sold out soon enough. Posh at such a late stage can't be expected to move their own fans, try and get tickets here to sell, sort more policing etc.
Some idiots on twitter basically going mental at their chairman about the ticket allocations. I'm not a fan of Darrah MacAntony but what is he suppose to do at this late stage if BFC havent asked for anymore or indicated sooner we're likely to sell out.
Do Peterborough put a guarantee in if a club requests the stand behind the goal? Maybe just thinking out loud but if that’s the case maybe we didn’t want to buy at least 2200 tickets and have them left over costing us cash potentially
Donny took 641 a couple of weeks ago, its the next stop for them. Thats a cracking crowd, we could have probably took over 2k.
Bearing in mind the importance of the game and the number of fans we've been taking to away matches, it seems a bit odd that we didn't request the higher amount sooner.
Strange one. We've taken good followings to all our away games in the league yet haven't asked for the full allocation against a promotion rival? It's not even that far to Peterborough, straight down the motorway.
He’s a right lovely person that MacAnthony. Plenty of form. Twisting the truth to suit his agenda here methinks. I could be wrong, but the arrangements as I’ve heard them are thus: The club were apparently offered either 1700 or 4000 tickets. The club, though, had to guarantee they’d pay for 4000 if they took them. We wouldn’t have sold that many - so could only take 1700. MacAnthony now says we could have had more if we liked. Yeah under your terms. It was ‘intimated’ we wouldn’t sell 2200. No, we said we wouldn’t sell 4000. The choice offered was apparently the side stand and behind the goal, or just the side stand. We’d have sold 2k plus, maybe 2500. Not 4k though. He let Portsmouth buy 2500, yet he insisted on allocating us the 1700 seat stand first. If this is wrong, then on this occasion he’s not out of order. However I suspect it isn’t wrong.
