I'm so disappointed that we didn't re-sign Adam. I still think he had a lot to offer and his commitment to our club would have been unquestionable.
Whatever he is getting at St Mirren I'm sure we could have matched so money must not be the issue. Now he didn't perform well in the championship on a consistent basis but that goes for a lot of this squad. Would have liked to have seen him stay myself.
He had lost the yard of pace, but is still a very fit player who could press & pick a perfect pass. He could have played the Dougall role or a wing back position when needed & be a strong force in the dressing room. Big mistake in my book too Mario. I'm fully behind the new management team, but I think we have missed a trick here.
Get over it, i’m sure Stendel and his assistants asked the other players and possibly GG if he were worthy of a contract, they’ve probably taken the advice on board and decided not to even have a look at Adam. Pastures new and all that. There’s a reason why Bradford, Scunthorpe and any other of the 45 clubs in league 1 & 2 didn’t try sign him.
Yep.. folk should just fall into line like good little fans and follow the clubs #officalline.. No opposing oppinion please.
Stendel went to see him at his home before the season started. I don't know what was offered..but it wasn't appealing enough to him. Like you guys say it's a shame he's not with us but we have to move on....he would have been a very good wildcard.
I am gutted that we did not sign Adam , I think he was tailor made for one more season at this level & its a mistake not to have signed him but why should"t anyone have a different opinion to mine ?
Do you know this for a FACT ??? Because my thoughts are that they didn’t sign Hammill because he doesn’t fit the new owners criteria. Hammill is too old and so has no sell on value. Ganaye let something on those lines slip during an interview with Radio Sheffield when he was asked about loan signings - he said, we need our own players to develop so they have a value to the club. Which is fine. BUT - an experienced intelligent player such as Hammill has the skills to unlock teams when they park the bus. An ingredient that is sadly lacking in this current team - which could easily cost us promotion. So then - the value of a player cannot always be measured on his sell on value.
Agree with this and not just in isolation to Hammill. The policy of bringing in young players so they have a sell on value is a good one. But taking it to the maximum of every single player at the club and have no experience at all is one of the factors in our relegation.
JEEZ !!! There’s someone here that agrees with me !!! This Tyketastic person clearly needs their bumps feeling at.
