Or lack of. No nous. No ability to play the 'dark arts' They were in our faces from the off. Their tactics were to get us rattled and it worked. They ratted chased and pressured every ball. Niggles. sly digs. Gamemanship. We didnt want it up us. Spineless.
Think back in last couple of seasons some big players have been and gone, the likes of Matty James, Hourihane, Gardner, Yiadom, Roberts, Bree, Kent, Brownhill, Scowen, Winnal, Watkins, Hammill, Bradshaw, McBurnie, Mawson, all leaders, consistent and potential match winners. All replaced by youth with potential.
Coats for goalposts. On a serious note, on the thread about our lack of pace I pointed out our lack of experience was more of a worry & the failure to hang on to Adam. If we have Dougall out for any length of time, that could be a serious problem. It looks like they took him out deliberately last night.
Conor was a great leader he wasn't a old head but a good leader. not sure I agree that all men that are under 25 can't be leaders and will get bullied. Davies is no leader though and I don't like the idea of a goalkeeper as captain.
