I was about to say the same. The pre match music (chosen by the fans) is stuck in the 1980’s like some of the town!
Democracy not your thing then ? Maybe we should ignore the fans and let the DJ dictate his selection ,which would suit the selfish .
It isn't really democracy is it? Thry don't post out voting forms to all supporters, they just ask on twitter and then the club chooses from a few fans selections that catch their eye. Well that's for a handful of songs anyway, for the rest it's whatever the DJ likes
Just sat by the pool in Gran Canaria reading ‘Neither Nowt nor Summat’ by Ian Mc, and occasionally looking at the BBS and thinking F**k me, he’s right. We can be a right set of miserable bleeders from Yorkshire. Thank Christ we won yesterday!
In fairness, it’s impossible to please everyone at a football game with the playlist. You’ve old men, old women, young men, young women, little kids, and everyone in between. How do you cater for that? It’s why last season we let the fans do it. And it got even more complaints. As for Cocoon, it’s always played. I’d scrap it tomorrow if it was down to me and just play Fanfare for the Common Man in its entirety instead. Proper tune and still quite unique. Sweet Caroline I’m assuming is an attempt to get folk going, to try and get folk singing. Like at other sporting events. And whilst a handful on here don’t like it, there were plenty singing along in the stands. It’s a tricky little conundrum is the playlist. At least the speakers must be working.
Did you not read it? Il help you out. I said the pre match music (chosen by the fans), the brackets indicating that the music chosen by fans for the pre match us generally stuck in the 80’s, there is other music chosen by the “dj” again calling him a “dj” is a bit much but you’ll get the drift.
Well as probably one of the world's biggest Neil Diamond fans, I am the official UK fan club DJ/Compare lol, I fecking hate SC, done to death over the years, the sports association started with Boston Red Sox who have used it for years, even getting Neil along to sing it live at their stadium.....I wasnt there yesterday but ffs lets have something original, Bradford used it, Bolton, Blackpool...........need something else
Correct, not my cup of tea but normally a cracking song to get folk singing along. Lady who sits in front of me loves it, she always stands up and sings it at the top of her voice,
I’d imagine someone’s seen it been used on boxing shows before the main event to get the crowd going & it works because all the crowds probably been on the booze 5 hours or more but it doesn’t really work at 3pm on a Saturday for me. Don’t mind them trying different things
