Yes I agree with that mate but there are red lines you do not or should not cross. DUFC's old manager Jim McLean was also very passionate and very hot headed. Career ended when he threw a punch at a tv reporter live on tv. Its on you tube. There has always been spats between manager in the dug out areas. There is nothing new there. But the incidents which surround Lennon do not seem to affect anyone else. He does like to court controversary.
I haven’t seen our Head coach run into the opponents marked zone yet, or turn around to gesture to the crowd.
Ye I get that but I don’t think Lennon has ever assaulted anyone as a player or a manager, despite the fact has been assaulted on a few occasions, had death threats , been sent Bullets in the post ? Enough said move on
That’s probably the least accurate comment I’ve seen on here, your opening comments on this post were through away immature lines, not looking at the full picture
Yet you compare our manager in a situation that is volatile way beyond a usual football match and amidst vile Sectarianism.
Plenty passionate managers going about mate but very few cause as much trouble as Lennon. Tbh he is a bit of a thug.
Ok so you think he is a “***** and a thug “ while most people now why he is targeted, he was never targeted until he signed for Celtic. I don’t think it looks well on you using that language on a public forum, let’s agree to disagree as this is a Barnsley site
Hmm. OK you could be right with the Celtic angle but then so did Martin O'Neil manage Celtic. Don't see too much controversy surrounding him.
That's true actually. Martin O'Neill was always passionate on the touchline and quite willing to say his views openly in interviews. Nothing excuses some of the things Lennon is having to face. But Lennon shouldn't goad fans like he did either. He didn't get what he deserved by any means, I don't subscribe to that view. Nor should he try and push buttons to be able to play the victim card either.
You used DS as an an example of passionate managers in the same context as Lennon, which is a whole different bLl- game with the Sectarianism issue. DS is passionate he shouts, he argues, He has not run into his opponents zone or gesticulated/ goaded towards the crowd, so the passion between him and Lennon is not comparable because DS has not as yet overstepped that mark.
Don’t put words in. My mouth , I’m perfectly capable of saying what I mean anyway I’m not discussing this any further
