Absolutely no idea any more what anyone’s worth. A lot less than clubs seem to pay for them. If Aiden Flint is worth £8m then who knows any more.
The referee plays advantage to Bradford, then when they lose the ball books Jackson. I never saw a card
who made that diabolical hospital pass ,and why was Jackson sent off , it looked a 50 50 ball to me ,they both went for it .
Must admit I thought both players went for the ball and neither got it. Not complaining but it looks to me like "intent" (which is how the rules were couched many years ago) is dead as far as tackles are judged these days. But then again, I'm not just old, I'm ancient !
I don’t understand this at all? I don’t understand how anyone can rate Jackson over Lindsay. Stendel tried Jackson & Pinnock once at home to Plymouth & they were a mess together so quickly put Lindsay back in the side for the following game.
. What? We’ve played nearly all of them games in the championship on one of the lowest budgets in that league of course we’ve conceded in nearly every game. What a dreadful stat
I’m just going to be brutally honest here & I’m sorry if it upsets anyone but if you think Jackson’s a better defender than Lindsay you haven’t got a clue what you’re watching. Football’s the wrong sport for you. Although I shouldn’t be surprised. We had some fans who used to think M’Voto was a better centre back than Cranie
Bit over the top. Whilst I agree with you in the fact I think Lindsey is better, I can understand those that prefer Jackson. He is a more “old school” defender. In that he’s strong, makes big tackles and clears the ball when it’s near him. Also is a leader, which stands out in this team. Plenty of different attributes to rate from each of the players we have.
Either you've not seen Jackson at his best, or you've forgotten how good he was. Before he had a spell out injured he was awesome. By comparison, Lindsay is merely adequate. It remains to be seen if Jackson can get back to that level, but he'd need a run of games and that may be too much to ask for. Until then, we'll have to make do with Lindsay.
I don’t mind Jackson he’s decent back up he’s just clearly not as good as Lindsay. With many players in competition for the same positions I can see arguments for and against each player but I just can’t get my head round thinking Jackson’s the better player
That’s what I was getting at with M’Voto. I think we’ve got many fans who just think been dominant in the air is the main attribute of a centre back. I think Lindsay’s much more of a leader than Jackson, Lindsay’s always the defender shouting the instructions, organising the team at corners & trying to set the offside trap
I'm equally baffled by anyone thinking the opposite. Probably a good thing we're supporters and not managers
He didn't just Give thrm a go as he felt like it. It was down to Lindsay making mistakes statueesqe when we conceded from set plays v scunny and cov and got turned inside out v bury in the jpt. As for the leader in the back 4 when Davis was on international duty stendal picked pinnock for captain.
Mostly in the championship though, where the whole team wasn't good enough. Edit. Just seen someone else already said same.
Can't really blame him for a mistake against Bury in the Checkatrade Trophy, given that we haven't actually played Bury in that competition this season!
Yeah my bad was Oldham where he got turned inside out. Stendal dropped him after those games anyway and he has been decent since his return.
It's clear he's third choice behind Pinnock & Lindsay. Still a great CB, who has played at championship level. Hopefully he's happy to stay & fight for his place. At some point injury or suspension will give him his chance again & with a run of games I'm sure he can take it & give Stendel a difficult decision.
He can pick whoever he likes for captain but we all go to the games we can see who’s doing organising at set pieces
At which point did I ever say Jackson was better than Lindsay? I just like how Jackson plays. My opinion, which I'm allowed to have.
