    Imo a 52% to 48% majority is hardly a mandate to dictate a withdrawal from rules and obligations we partook in drawing up in case anyone wanted to leave .

    It's quite simple. The UK should remain in the EU. England should then leave the UK. Solves the Irish border question. The Scots get what they want. The EU can go whistle. It'd become a negotiation between England and the rest of the UK. I imagine there'd even be the opportunity for remainers to move to Scotland or Wales if they wished to continue being EU citizens.

    The British public were never qualified to make the decision in the first place. They should never have been asked. Much less asked then bombarded with false information.

    Brexiteers in key negotiating positions through the whole process but had no grasp of the hard realities of negotiating an orderly exit

    The hard brexiteers have continually lived in a parallel universe and not understood how to go about leaving the EU in a way that does not cause massive damage to the country.

    So now the choice is simple
    1 - leave with no deal - almost anyone with any grasp of commercial reality knows that this would be catastrophic for our ecomomy health service and food supply

    2. Take the deal which is on the table - a Deal that neither the remainers or the leavers like - so at least it unifies the country all be it for the worst possible reasons

    3. or give up on the whole thing and ask nicely if we can stay

    For me only option 3 makes any sense.

    If we had a vote to ask people who are thirsty, and 52% said they were... you wouldn't have a consensus what drink should be had by that 52%. You'd have some similarities, some differences, some deciding not quite, maybe later, immediately and much else besides.

    To summarise Brexit as this binary simple choice is ridiculous, and in itself shows why the people were not qualified with the relevant evidence to take a decision.

    Just seeing the information shared by the EU (impressive how they had a lengthy press conference breaking down articles and appendices etc late at night, while we had a 90 second waffle buzz word newscall) highlighted the complexity. I can say from first hand experience, Cyprus and Gibraltar weren't in my thinking as I voted. Nor did I envisage backstops that created an advantage for northern Ireland and making it harder for Wales and Scotland to benefit from investment.
