    Brilliant! I used to get the league ladders edition of Shoot every August. I used to keep a record of my own Subbuteo leagues with them. Happy days!

    Note the inclusion of Workington and Southport in the team tabs, before they lost their league places in 1977 and 1978 to Wimbledon and Wigan respectively. Also, Crystal Palace are shown as playing in purple and Forfar in green, which makes me wonder if they've changed home colours over time?

    I've done some research and learned a little! Crystal Palace had traditional colours of claret and blue until 1973, when they changed to red and blue vertical stripes. Forfar had a green home strip in the 1950s and early 1960s, so there you go, that's tonight's history lesson complete!
