    Well Winker hasn't replied to my request for information about this apparent double murder before a Barnsley match. He logged on yesterday but can't seem to be bothered to reply.

    I asked my dad and uncle about this yesterday and they'd never heard of it. I googled it but nothing came up. So can anyone confirm whether a woman lost twins as a result of being beaten up before a Barnsley game as Winker alleged.

    Or is Winker on a pretty sick wind-up.

    You seem to be very angry indeed. As Winker says this happened a long time ago and you don't know the exact circumstances of the incident. Why do you feel that he needs to provide proof to you to legitimise his post?

    PS. This isn't just a random reply. I know Winker very well, I've known him for years. We served in the Army together. I'm sure that if he sees it he will be more than happy to provide you with his own response.

    Guys, Please.... a sensitive issue this. I really can't imagine anybody making something like this up. It would be a shame if my first thread ended in acrimony, I was only saying hello. Winker you have my heartfelt sympathies and bradgatetyke I am sure didnt mean you any offence. Legally it couldnt be murder so may not have attracted publicity, especially the kind we are now used to in a world of social media etc. Doesnt mean it didnt happen or that it was an absolute tragedy

    My problem is that I had never heard of this incident as it was before my time and was just asking for details. It must have been national news if two young children died as a result of a football match. If you don't want to talk about it I wonder why you posted details in the first place.
