It’s a bit stupid singing ‘we all hate Leeds scum’ when Mowatt’s in the team & one of our key players. Looked even dafter when he scored a minute later & all Ponty’s jumping up & down cheering for him.
Why? Because he used to play for them and came through their academy? He’s not from there, so there’s no obvious lasting affinity. He might hate them as much as some of us, you never know.
I have to say I thought it was pretty pathetic. Keep it for when we play Leeds again, which could be a while TBH. There were one or two amusing songs I heard from the Ponty, but I forget what they were now.
Very decent attendance for league one. Hopefully a similar one for Charlton on Saturday. I had expected a bigger gate for Pompey, all considered. I know it was an awful day, but it is a winter sport. Would be brilliant to get two decent results tomorrow and at Luton and a few more start turning up to push us on.
It just seems a bit daft. Steve Evans spent a few years there & Mowatt spent what? About a decade there? Evans is not exactly associated with Leeds where as Mowatt is
