To be fair Lindsay gave the ball away a lot, as did cavare, pinillos, mcgeehan, mowatt and potts

He had an assist for the 1st goal against Peterborough at their place.

How the **** do you count that as an assist, it was a a truly superb individual effort, yes he was last man to touch it before Cauley. Reight laid it on a plate for him dint he.

You can’t really judge him until next season sadly.

He didn’t have a full pre-season with us, and is settling to the area/country.

Some settle quicker than others, but it’s no reflection on their ability. (Dougall appears to have settled).

In an ideal world you’d get everyone signed up prior to pre-season, but it doesn’t work like that.

Even Bergkamp and Henry struggled in Italy due to settling and playing different systems to what they were used to. But then both moved to England - and the rest is history.

Completely agree. Even a lot of the top players only show their real ability in their second seasons. Hope he improves as season progresses and he settles in, then has a full pre season. I trust Stendels judgement so far, so will wait and see how he does, and good to see majority of fans in the ground applauding and supporting him. Must help players when the teams supporters actually support them.

No Moncur scored it. Bähre assisted.

I see the same things from him in most games, I think he’s a good player but I never think he’ll score & he always seems to give the ball away or play a team mate into danger at least once in a game.

I think he’s took a lot of really harsh criticism on here this season from people saying he’s crap when I’d say he’s just been pretty average

I think some of the criticism has been justified yesterday I thought he was pretty average. But the Donny game he was awful played 2 suicide balls that should of cost us and was annoynamus apart from that. I also think moncur is a better player

I think it’s obvious that Bähre’s card is marked when it comes to some on here and elsewhere. In my opinion he’s second only to Moncur in terms of technical ability as his touch and vision are both sublime. It’s arguable that he’s more suited to a 3/5 man midfield which allows him space to operate in those areas between the opposition’s midfield and defence, as we saw yesterday. That being said, I think the overall team also benefit when we play with a 3/5 man midfield and I expect that to be the system of choice as the season wears on. I think there’s a lot to come from Bähre who’s still relatively young and learning his trade. The signs are positive and I’m sure he’ll prove to be an incredibly shrewd acquisition.

Thought he played well. To say he's only been here 3~4 months or so and never played English football before I'd say he's getting better by the game. Yes I'd agree he does waste a bit of possession but I can't name a player in L1 that doesn't. Think it's also related to his playing style where he's always trying to get things going which carries far more risk than easy square balls across the back 4. Promising signing in my opinion.

His rear window "vision" presently lets him down. He doesn't seem to sense opponents around him whilst he's wondering what to do next.

He's been lucky so far. Getting caught in possession hasn't yet cost us.

It remains to be seen whether he'll develop further. He has great ability without any consistency.

Personally, and trying to look at it objectively, I thought he was poor and a fish out of water on Tuesday. No doubting his effort and one or two neat touches but he went round giving the ball away on umpteen occasions, was slow in possession and got caught. Also blazed two good opportunities wildly over in the first half and missed another in the second. However, he has only started half a dozen games and should be given a chance.

As unimpressive as I thought he was on Tuesday, I thought that he was equally magnificent in the first half today. So much so that for me the only delusionists in this thread are those that think Moncur is a patch on him.

Will make us a lot of Euros if he can keep progressing and learn how to finish.

I've not seen such a standout individual performance like that for a long time, maybe paddy mccourt, the last time as today that I thought wow how good is he.
