I know Charlton are not Premiership but some of Barnsley's 'pass and move' and crisp one-twos getting out of tight spots and running at goal has been of the highest standard. Can't remember enjoying watching a Barnsley side so much since the heady premiership days. Just hope they don't take their foot off the gas 2nd half.
It would be nice if 'DodworthRover' was to come on here and admit he was 100% wrong about Bahre (as most of us knew anyway) but I suspect he won't
Class act today but your wrong about Chatlton having no answer they crocked him under the referees nose who after his performance today wondered why he also didn’t have a kick st one of our players . Keep Boyer owes the Ref a big drink tonight and I wouldn’t be surprised if I learned he’d collected it in Bowyers local
I think before the last two games most on here...thought he was powder puff with some skill but not up to the rigours of div 3 footy....we judge far too soon. You can see a "real" player develop here....glad our coach doesn't take advice from some on this forum!!
I hope none of the players or staff listen to anything that’s said on any fans Forum! None of us know what we’re talking about. It’s why we’re fans and not in the game. Only difference is some seem to think they do actually know what they’re talking about, and they tend to be the noisiest ones!! Great win and great performance from Bahre.
Brilliant performance. Get a few players in to his level and with his football brain and watch him fly.
His performance certainly silenced the miserable old men I sit with. They even left Cavare alone today.
Bahre's performance was the best individual contribution by a Barnsley player I've seen since I can't remember, maybe since Vaz Te's against Leeds. He's got natural flair which you don't see a lot of these days and his ball control, vision and work rate are all immense. Occasionally he gave the ball away but only because a teammate wasn't expecting a flicked pass. If only he'd scored that chance in the second half. Christ that would have been a perfect performance from him.
I think, like Thiam, coming into a foreign climate is going to take some getting used to. Given its still his first season outside of Germany, and how young he is, if he stays fit and continues to progress, he'll be an absolute gold plated star. His close control and turns are a wonder to behold already, if he adds finishing to his game, could be the next Barnsley Messi!!!
You are completely correct on both counts! The ref offered him no protection at all and some of the decisions were, how shall I say, ****!
