We turned down a 1.5million bid in the summer for him so yes you are right there. But promotion is worth 6 million.....
I knew they would have to pay over 1.5 million to get him as we turned that down last summer he was still contracted untill 2021 potentially so I'd hope it was quite alot more than 1.5million
Same old Barnsley F C. Sell your better players when you need them . No excuse from new owners or C E will make it easier to take.
And Potts had a longer contract so we didn't need to sell now we could have in the summer if promotion failed.
Me too. He could be effective at this level but don't think he's Championship quality. I don't think he'll ever be a winger and Stendel has a number of players he prefers in the centre. If we can use some of that money to buy players who can get crosses in for Moore and Woodrow I think it's a great bit of business If we don't improve the squad with new signings then it's disappointing but it's still a lot of money for a player who toiled like **** in the Championship.
Much as I think he's been one of our most improved players this season, I'm also doubtful about his ability above this level. If the money is reinvested, I don't have much of a problem with it.
Not really. It just says preston have paid more than their 1.5m transfer record. Doenst mean he went for 1.5m
Fair point, doubt it's a lot more or would say more than 2 million. But i am guessing. Just a bit balled off with it, if nothing is going to change then maybe I'm the problem.
bizarre were at it again , selling our best players for paltry fees , where we gonna get a player of potts ability and presence with half the season gone . disgusted
I think it’s good business from the club & if it true what I have be told the fees is over 2 million. I like Potts he has played really well in this league.but for me he is not a championship player.
Summed up perfectly. It’s wait and see for now. Another Woodrow for Bradshaw type upgrade may be in the pipeline.
