Plus if Hecky wasn't happy with XYZ as he has since claimed, why would he want to come back?

I think it would totally polarise the fans and I can't see the owners taking such a risk to be honest.

    Hahahahaha !!!
If Hecky goes to Luton - then Luton immediately become a real threat to Barnsley getting promotion.

Yes they are - but there are bigger threats e.g. Portsmouth and Sunderland.
But if Hecky got the Luton job then the threat from Luton increases exponentially.

Would that be good or bad for Moncur?

Allardyce delayed taking over at Everton because he was still being paid by England and held out for more money.

I thought the fact that bielsa has used the more or less same 11 that hecky had to pick from bar 1 player for most of the season and has Leeds top was putting clubs off appointing him.

Become? They’re a threat regardless of who’s in charge

Ain’t it the old ‘rolling contract’ & 1 year notice situation. I think he loses out on losing a lot of his compo if he takes another job before the summer but it all depends who comes in for him & what they’re offering as to whether it’s worth it.

As Luton have one of the biggest gates in league one & have a chance of promotion they might be splashing the cash & making it worthwhile.

It’s hard to blame Clapham for anything when shortly after he joined we lost Winnall, Hourihane, Morsy & Bree & then the following summer we built an almost brand new team of kids, Clapham could’ve been a brilliant coach & it would still have taken a long time for them to gel.

Nudge, we get that you rated Heckingbottom.

That’s fair, he did reasonably well here for the most part. He lost his way a bit and started talking in sound bytes but I’m not one of those rewriting history claiming he was crap for the whole time. He did a good job overall.

    But improve their chances ‘exponentially’?

Behave. Their chances wouldn’t diminish, but his appointment wouldn’t all of a sudden make them favourites.

Wonder what Hecky will do with players like Lee, Moncur and Berry. Im not sure if he rated them in the past

He wasn’t around for Berry. Think he rated Moncur or at least believed he could change his game as he played him a fair bit. Lee might be awkward as he clearly didn’t think Lee was up to championship level at the time

Hecky should still be our head coach, but we all know what happened with the whole January 2017 business. He was sold down the river & we are only just starting to recover. I rate Stendal don’t get me wrong, but things should & could have been a lot different if we knew what we were actually doing when we got promoted. Only one word for it, amateur.

I wish Hecky all the best! I don’t blame him one bit for what he did and I would have him back in a heartbeat!

Hecky played Bradshaw up front on his own week after week he played a 4141 formation week after week. It was dreadful football and done out of spite not because he had to or it was our best way to play, he cost us not Morais our place in the Championship and then as a Barnsley man went to Leeds.
Hecky could have shown more patience with GG and the new owners and been a part of an exciting future but he didn't he got the monk on and pissed off to them.
I think he will wreck Luton if he goes as Lee Moncur and Pearson weren't good enough for him, Mick Harford yesterday just let Luton play and they battered Peterborough Hecky will drum in to them their roles, criticise them publicly if they don't pick up their man at corners and drain the lives out of them.
We got promoted before because of Conor and Hammill not Hecky.

I hope he gets the Luotn job soon and hope he sticks to his footballing principles then automatic promotion is ours, agent Hecky.

‘It was done out of spite’

Behave, he’d got 2 / 2 & a half strikers at the club dependant on your views on Thiam.

He tried his preferred 4-4-2 several times & we were dreadful with it as Ugbo was useless & Thiam was overweight. There was no other choice but to play 4-5-1.

If the McBurnie deal went through it’s a different story but it didn’t.

Making the same mistake without trying something different over and over again is either intentional to make a point or stupid. His press conferences were negative repetitive and stubborn.

It's fine if no one agrees but I don't have any time for him and he did not show his best to our club in the end.
