Before I get started this IS NOT A RUMOUR and I don't have any inside info. It's merely a bit of creative speculation on my part. Steve Cherundolo is an American coach and ex-player who played with Stendel for years at Hannover and coached there with him too after they both retired. He was let go by Stuttgart a few months ago where he had been Assistant and also did some temporary coaching for the USA national team before Christmas. He has the requisite and vitally important language skills, is known to Stendel and is currently out of work. Could be an excellent fit. Interview and article on him below; http://www.espn.co.uk/soccer/club/u...undolo-talks-coaching-us-player-pool-and-more
Excellent research Monkey Red. His CV certainly seems to fit the bill, what with twenty years experience with Hannover. On first impressions he'd be a good fit.
I remember actually signing this guy for Barnsley on FIFA around 2005/2006 time. He had a **** hot rating as a player for some reason.
