Pretty much speechless at his incompetence and a good argument for bias. The time wasting incident was beyond belief!

Clear foul on Davies from the late corner and in the preceding goal mouth scramble too.

He also made some woeful decisions in our favour. Lindsay error on the half way line - blatantly pulled their man to get the ball back. A few other odd ones too

I don't know much about the ref who's down to do the game on Tuesday but I hope to god he doesn't get injured as the fourth official is T Kettle!

It’s weird that timewasting is punished when one team is chasing / holding onto a result. It’s overlooked the other 90% of the time.

They should just stop the clock when the ball isn’t in play.

The other offence that is never punished is deliberate obstruction when shielding the ball out of play for a goal kick anywhere else on the pitch that’s an indirect free kick.

The referee yesterday really did perform poorly, on three occasions he stopped play and restarted with a drop ball, on all three restarts he insisted that the drop ball be uncontested and punted back to the goalkeeper, one of these was an 80 yard kick back to Davies when Dougall had clearly wanted to contest for the ball. It is clearly stated in the laws of the game that referees cannot decide who contests a drop ball or indeed how many players yet yesterday he clearly did - three times.

Williams got away with pushing Rochdale players in the back and was never penalised.

Yeah but that was the first time Davies had done it, what was their Goalie doing for the first 75 mins? Must have wasted at least 10 minutes & not exaggerating there either- not one word or warning from the ref. Clear bias 100%

ref ws garbage...again. Let their Keeper take as long as he wanted up to them going behind. Keeper knew what he was doing as slowing the game down and wasting time was clearly part of Dale's gameplan. Their keeper had the audacity to run to our celebrating players to hurry em up after our 2nd goal. Davies did nothing different. Its as ridiculous that the ref even spoke to him after doing nothing all game for theirs. However clearly it was Davies back chat that got the yellow and i think he would have been ok with just a few words otherwise.

I don’t know if it’s bias because most refs do it every game but they only punish time wasting in the last 20 minutes of games.

It’s just wrong that teams can set up for a point & time waste all game & get away with it.

He was definitely booked for giving the ref some lip. Happened right in front of us. Ref gestured to Davies to get on with it and Davies shouted back words to the effect of "You've let their goalie get away with it all match " at which point he ran forward and booked Davies.

Very unusual to see the captain booked under those circumstances.

Davies was booked straight away, then he gave the red a piece of his mind. Double standards

I recall it as seeing the ref march towards Davies telling him to hurry up. Davies gestured and pointed towards their keeper obviously expressing he let them get away with it. At which point the ref showed the yellow. Maybe someone watching the full match replay can clarify. That's how I saw it but not that it matters too much.
