sorry if already mentioned Jordan Green turns their player on the half way line and is fouled blatantly in the 90th. Ball breaks to one of our players who has a clear run on goal. Ref pulls it back and gives us a free kick. He was shocking!
The decision to book Davies for time wasting shortly after doing nothing about their keeper doing the same thing was baffling!
I'd love to know what Davies was saying to the ref when it happened. He was certainly gesticulating towards the other end so it was obviously along the lines of "why me and not him?" Do the refs just shrug their shoulders when asked questions like this, smile and say get on with the game lad, I'm in charge. I think Davies would have been within his rights, as captain, to just drop the ball and walk out to meet the clown to demand a full explanation. Of course, given the nature of some of these people, he might just have smiled even more as he pulled a red card out, so it's not worth it. It's wrong though. There should be the option for the captain, and only him, to demand explanations for decisions at least a couple of times every match. Like the DRS system in cricket. It will never happen though.
That's how I'd like to see VAR work. Each team gets 2 or 3 uses of it per game, rather than play stopping unnecessarily every 5 minutes to check if that blatant offside was as blatant as we thought
Hard for the skipper to make that decision though when he’s at the other end of the pitch. Keepers should never be captain
